Agracier,
Check most of the in-line engined aircraft, especially the FH GIII bomber. That engine definitely cuts out when you nose in too sharply.

I was thinking of the newer mods - Fokker E.III, Aviatik, Nieuport 11 rework, Sopwith Camel ...

The Aviatik still needs some work in that regard, as well as its FM and Cockpit. It seems to me that is currently still only a Beta?
As for the E.III, Nieuport 11 and Camel, those are all radial-engines aircraft and so the fuel supply is not gravity-fed and therefore constant.

I forgot the #DBW_1916 folder when I updated the FH G.III patch yesterday, will correct it today.
The speed can be told if you use the speedbar or switch to full screen view with the instruments.

Aha ... thanks for the explanation - as I said, I'm not all that well versed in true nuts and bolts technical matters ... this bit of explanation helps a lot to better understand how things work ... for many it is probably an obvious thing ... I gotta learn these things the hard way ... ha ha

Thanks

Glad to help. :)
You might notice that even the Spitfire Mk.I and Hurricane Mk.I suffer the same problem for the same reason. The Bf-109 E did not, however, because of fuel injection and that proved to be a little bit of an advantage for the Germans for a little while!

Yes, I have indeed noticed that and in truth it makes it a bit of a challenge to fly those two ... and more fun as well. Probably can't say the same for the poor blokes who flew them for real though. They must have had different ideas ...

As far as I know it didn't pose too much of a problem, but you can imagine how embarrassing it would be to be flying in formation, forget the rule in all your excitement and grimace as your spitfire farts!  :D
