White glass on PBY SOLVED!
« on: July 06, 2020, 12:28:24 PM »

BAT Pegasus fully updated. The PBY's front gunners glass is white. I've tried taking the 3do folder from the original post in Seaplanes but no luck. Is anyone having this and is there a fix?

Did you try testing it with different skins to see if it’s not just a skin error?

Hi bombsaway, all fine here - same setup. I tried a few different skins, but all seems ok.

Is it like that from all viewing angles?

Does the white part shift around as your viewing position moves?

I ask be cause in these 2 still shots it looks rather like the specular reflection of the Sun. A normal thing for glass and other similarly reflective objects given a high Specular value in the material's .mat file.

From all angles. Even the stationary plane has the same effect. I've tried different skins as well. So far no other plane is doing this.

Found it! I use the Skin mod for personalizing my default skins and that was the issue. Must be a mapping issue.

I can't read, obviously! The OP stated "front gunner". I was paying attention to all other glass, and more particularly at the side blister. Yeah, definitely non-transparency on that front turret.
