screen when running IL2 -Bat
tried all sorts  (tab&CTRL to change things )but nothing seems to delete it

You do realise that if you remove the opengl32.dll reshade will no longer function, right?

I just assumed that when you removed the .dll
that it just removed the back heading.

bar fr0m within the program
Cheers for the info

I just installed the latest Reshade. It was all pretty painless. The grey bar at screen top remained in place only until I selected to view the tutorial on my first running. I tried some effects out, selected one I liked, and thereafter the grey bar is visible only during the start of the game startup process; it goes away by the time the main screen is displayed.

I don't see how this should be any different with whatever version of Il-2 one is running... I'm at 4.12.2 modact 5.3.

I stayed with the default HOME key to toggle on and off the Reshade UI, and set END as the key to toggle on and off the effect (or group of effects) in real time while playing.

Ciao, sorry for the late reply.
I'm using reshade 4.6.1. I don't run Bat, just my own modded version of IL2 with mostly VP Media mods and a few tweaks.
I agree with WxTech about the grey bar at the top. It should go away once you've set things up. Personally I use F12 as my on/off key.

My main focus with Reshade is in trying to improve the default murky looking sky, which has way too much magenta hue and lacks in depth, and to get rid of the vanilla
dusty, washed out look of just about everything else.

My latest default:

Before

After

Hope it works out for you, it really is worth it, and the fps hit is minimal. :)
