147th Aerosquadron Nieuport 28c 1918
« on: September 30, 2018, 05:46:01 PM »

One of the most under-skinned aircraft in our WW1 era is the lovely Nieuport 28! Its one of my favorites, and so I've been working on these skins off and on for a while. Decided to release what few I have here for your enjoyment.

I tried to find aircraft of a unit that hasn't been represented before. These skins were born out of a personal mission that I was building based on the actions of the 147th. I found myself needing 147th skins, and could find none so I started researching and found a plethora of unique schemes to choose from.

These are 147th Aerosquadron machines during 1918, a period where the unit was primarily engaged in escort duties of Salmson and Breguet bombers, as well as close support and balloon hunting. This first set will include all I have completed so far, but I plan to complete several more historical machines and add them here as well. Included are two historical skins, two no-numbered for mission builders, and #1 of my own personalized design.

147th Aerosquadron N28s - Part 1:

2nd Lt. James F. Ashenden, 1918

2nd Lt. Ralph O'Niell, 1918

I guess you'll be keen to do some Spad13, and Salmson skins one fine day?

Thanks for your interest!

I'd like to try a Salmson skin or two later, but I make no promises, and there are no plans for this right away. I'll wait for Stiv's Template as his work is always a great foundation.

I have lots of other ideas lined up including finishing PART 2 of this pack, then my WIP Fokker Dr.1 skins, and then revisiting several of my older skins before moving forward.

Sorry to be a bother but was a template ever released for this aircraft? Thanks in advance!
