I remember when doing my 242 Kokutai campaign, which happens mostly on Kyushu, I had to take one or two liberties with airfields. Maybe this can be adjusted then :)

Cool... as whitecat says, no pressure... the map of Kyushu is one of my favourite and each improvement is more than welcome

Looks very promising. If only we could combine all of this with a map of Okinawa and Iwo Jima, so that the USAAF has some bases to operate from. I seem to remember there was a map like this, called B-29 Alley or something?

Yes, it combined maps of Iwo, the Marianas and Japan. It wasn't done to scale.

There was also a Okinawa to Kyushu map.

Never heard of Okinawa + Kyushu map.  Is it available somewhere?
It's such a huge area that it would have to be a small scale like 1/2 which would make islands look unrealistic, imo.  A fix could be that islands could be copy/pasted to make them closer to each other...Flight times would be unrealistic but I hate flying long distances anyway :)

That's a great idea. I just hate air-starting.

Here's Ibusuki as seen on 16 April 1945 under air attack:

I could work with unlocked FMB and raise the surronding land to make it look close to what it did if you want.

That would make it look more realistic.  So much of the map has been flattened, especially along the coast and rivers.  But, on the plus-side of things, these flattened areas give me the opportunity to add airfields without having to flatten the area myself.
If the land directly behind Ibusuki base could be raised into a hill that would be great.

I would need you to send me what you have so far and wait for me to do it and send it back. It should not take too long. How close to the shore that can be raised depends on the map. If the grab point is too close the water it will raise the water are too.

I'm busy today, Sunday, but could probably get to it Monday night after work.
