My impression is that 'General Discussion' is a no-go zone for criticism, for whatever reason they feel it hurts the company when problems are brought up there, while you can freely discuss bugs at length in the 'Technical issues' section. A philosophy is at work here which postulates 'excellence is general, bugs are particular'.  ;)

Regarding my ban im no longer baned on Il-2 BoS forum, so atleast thats fixed.

Regarding HuD, when on WoL server i usealy have it on as it only has compas, does that also impact performance and should i turn HuD off also just because it has only compas, i never tought it could impact performance as it does when i use it in QM with full hud on.

From my experience having just the compass on isn't too much of a performance impact in 3.x anymore.
It was in 2.012d for sure, but things got better in 3.x in that regards.
Even the full blown HUD now isn't as bad as it was before.
For instance, above a crowded place the full blown HUD in 2.012d cut down my FPS from ~80 to ~15-20. In 3.x it's now like 80 -> 70.

However, as always, and in particular with BoS: YMMV.

Either case, great to have you back on the BoS forums CZ!

Cheers!

On the other hand I find that switching to the briefing screen with the full map takes even more time now than in 3.001, while it had been barely noticable before. Or is it just me?

I think it was really bad in 3.001, much better in 3.002, then slightly worse again in 3.002b and now bad again in 3.002c.
Ask me again in 5 minutes and I'll mess around with another set of numbers 8)
This is so crazy, one could call it "funny".

Cheers!

This is exactly where we use 'schön' in Hungarian (as an understatement term for 'ridiculous'). I have the impression that they lost control over the code, bugfixing seems to proceed following the pattern of 'one step forward, two steps backward', or 'one step forward, one step backward' at the best. I hope they regain control soon and get back to the track, for creating new content for an unreliable platform is the recipe for demise, what I would like not to happen for my own good. This is what killed CLoD, after all.
