I am obsessed with the MiG-21 and these days I rarely fly anything else. (My Fishbed obsession has become a bit of a running joke between me and my boyfriend) It can be a challenging aircraft to learn but it's so satisfying when you get it right. And those R-73s...mmmm. It's too bad there's basically no missions for it. Sometimes though I do fly Golden Age stuff for a change of pace, particularly the P-26 and the Hawk III. They just handle so beautifully and they're super fun to fly. I don't fly WW2 stuff very much anymore but I do like a lot of the early-war planes and I have a soft spot for the MC.205.

As a dog fighter it's the Yak-3. Fighter/bomber it's the P-47 and P-38. All around best it's the P-51 series. Don't fly bombers so can't say much. This is for WWII only as it is my favorite era.

A6M2-21 is a beautiful bird, and I love flying her. I also like for some reason the BF109 F-4 version. Used to be deadly with that bird against even the later Russian Yak's
