Author Topic: Noticed some small issues and doubled jsgme WAW options....or did I do something wrong?  (Read 3547 times)

Hi Monty!

Congratulation with the development of this great mods collection!

I got it working starting from download to the 5 modules working installation in about 24 hours!

Amazing....simply AMAZING!

I have just got a couple of small issue:

- Mediafire give me some interrupted downloads with parts greater than 2Gb (this is reported only for information but isn't related to any CUP issue);
- Mission Pro JSGME option must be always enabled before running the game after upgrading otherwise loading of QMB 'll freeze (I had to restart the PC to quit the game after freezing);
- Some JSGME option for WAW are doubled (some start with WAW_config and some with WAW_ , for example the Askania option for the Ta152).

Did I spot right or did I mess something?

As far as the double JSGME files, yes there are.  Here is what Simon posted in the WAW 15 release instructions:

With the upgrade please delete out of date JSGME Packages
Remember to JSGME Disable everything first

Checked and removed the doubled entries!

I got all the above plus the new sound 1 & 2 and the MAXXED Ju52....

Maybe a dedicated JSGME tread can be a good idea where discuss how they work and how users manage them....

+1 to that.

List of up-to-date JGSME folders/option for the 5 CUP modules (CUP vanilla) + md5 for each module part would help to wait for the torrents. I think it would also help you (@dear CUP team) save a lot of trouble (à la "no log file, no answer").

Coming from a guy who works in IT and has to face the daily user rant. :)

Not a smart question I know, but - merely putting one of the little "-" (don't know what it's called) in front of the entries or deleting them from the jsgme folder, which is preferable/most correct?  Thank you.

I would be you, I would delete the obsolete JGSME folders. Otherwise, your option list will get quite crowded after a while. I see no point in keep these (even when they're rem'd out "-").

Just my 2 cents. I'm no modder.

Thank you.  I'll do it.  Sounds good to me.  I'm "no modder" either.  Just a game player, and not even a good one of those,  I'm afraid. And now I know a little bit more about terminology.  Shoot, they just look like little straight lines to me.

A mod can be disabled by a - but in JSGME if you rename an addition with a - the option 'll still show on the selectable options list....

Thanks.  Guess I'll just delete them then.  I never use much jsgme stuff, except forgotten countries since I don't understand what a lot of them do, but it will tidy up my folder.  Thanks again.

using the new waw flames on the update,only 109s have them other planes don't,no big deal just wondered if anyone else had this,or knew of a quick fix for it.kev.
