Hello there,

I was wondering if someone can help me install HSFX. The issue I am having is that the game crashes whilst im flying usually after afew seconds. I think its patch related let me explain why I think this.

I have gone from a fresh install of IL-2 into my c:\games folder.
I then installed the 4.12.2 megapatch
And then I installed HSFX 7.0

I am confused because the install procedures (on the forum) for HSFX 7.0 state that the mod should be installed over 4.12.1 but the install procedures in the HSFX 7.0 readme pdf states 4.12.nothing which patch do I need before installing HSFX?? It doesnt seem right to have such issue on a clean install.

I tried to run the auto updater patches to see whether those would help but I cant install them the installers keep saying

A newer version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable has been detected on the machine

And the continue button is greyed out so I cant install the patches.

I hope this isn't too convoluted. btw I dont think this is a pc driver related issue because I always keep ontop on such things.

Hope someone can help me out with this.

I forgot to mention that the crash is thru QMB and it only occurs when I have more than one plane in flight and i look back towards flight members . Just thought i'd mention this, maybe it will help diagnose this problem im having.

I would do this over 4.12.2 only. But I do not play HSFX and so do not have it installed
so mabye better wo wait for some mebers comments who have this installed and know better.

please tell us: wich QMB mission(s), wich planes.

Needs a HSFX guy to give a proper answer. Sadly I have no clue about this HSFX install procedure.

It was ages ago that I installed HSFX, but I remember that it was tricky.

1. First make sure that your clean 4.12.2 is complete and working properly.

2. Install HSFX 7.

3. Install the AutoUpdater.

4. Execute (double-click) the Auto_Updater and the Client_Updater (both exe files you find in your game folder)

Hey there,

Thanks for the posts I was trying to run the Auto updater instead of the client one. It installed the patch and everything appears to be working fine now. Il-2 states 4.12.2 and HSFX 7.03 on startup. Thanks for the help.

Salute Gents!

I wanted to install HSFX mode to my computer, but I have some issues...
1. I have installed Il2 4.12.2 version (works properly).
2. I installed HSFX 7.0
3. I put HSFX_Auto_Updater.exe into game folder.
4. I Executed above exe file.
5. When I want to execute HSFX_Client_Updater.exe file I get info about missing files (msvcp100.dll, and msvcr100.dll). After updating dll libraries with new dll files i click again on Client Updater and i get new info: Applicaction has not been run properly...

Does enyone know how to solve this problem?

I currently use Windows 10, and I don't remember if HSFX was running properly on 8.1...

killim,  the two dll files you identified are not part of HSFX.  They are Microsoft Windows files.  Do a search online for the dll files, by name, and you will find how to fix.

I forget to wrote about thous files. I alredy found them, and I placed them in System32, as it was adviced. But then new error occures...
next comunicate states that: "program wasn't run/executed properly" and thats the end of using Clinet_Updater...
Few more days and i'll drop idea of using HSFX to fly Il2....

Is your HSFX_Client_Updater.exe inside your HSFX root directory?

I am looking at my HSFX folder and I believe that is where you need to run it.
