Cheers guys :) As this is a test-bed, are there any weapons/combos/turrets people would like to try?

You could always check the list of actual Japanese secret weapons they might have used.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secret_and_special_weapons_in_Showa_Japan
or just use something that was already available for the Dornier-336. Its all good !

I've just got hold of another copy of the Japanese secret projects book - the Do-335 is listed as a minor part of the technical exhange, which makes this "plausible" as a potential project rather than a complete work of fiction. The book lists a number of indigenous and German weapons as well - including Hs-293 and Frit-x which are already in the mod; I may add a few of these.

Matt, thank you for another interesting plane. It works fine in my modact 5.3 game but I have a little problem on take off in auto pilot only:

The hud log says "Engine: Inoperable", nothing significant in the log file.

Looks like a hook error - I must have disrupted the sequence when I swapped the props over. Should be easy to fix, leave it with me.

Edit: go into 3do/plane/Ki-232; look for prop1_D0.msh and open in notepad. Under "Hooks", relplace the existing text with:
_Clip00 <BASE>
_Clip01 <BASE>
_Clip37 <BASE>
_Clip39 <BASE>

V1.01 up -

-Fixed the prop strike issue

I've also added a range of new weapons. The Ho-203 was already in there, buy now you've got the Ho-115, rocket bombs, and a radar guided anti shipping missile, as well as a rocket based schrage musik arrangement.

Not quite - it's RADAR, not radio guided, and it's rocket assisted. Use "lock ground target" to choose your target, then fire, keeping the target "illuminated" until it hits the target. It's very good against ships and other ground targets; due to a quirk in the code, it'll work in an air-to-air role as well.

Edit: like so:

And this is the schrage-musik arrangement:

Based on:

If anyone hits anything with it, please let us all know.

Many thanks Matt, for a very nice What-if.  Very believable...

I've contacted Max regarding his skin pack for this ac, as the link(s) are dead, Hangar19.net dead and buried (which is a shame), so hopefully there should be other live links for these soon, thanks.

Cheers
