DCG takes it's locations names from 'routes' that are specified in the DCG campaign files. The campaign builder opens the map and creates 'routes' in the full mission builder by plotting vehicle waypoints (according to particular 'rules'). Each 'route' has a name for the beginning and end, specified by the campaign builder, and these are the names the player sees in DCG mission briefings and so on.
So DCG and 'Map' location names are unrelated, except where the campaign builder
chooses to use names that already exist in the map (which is obviously a great idea where its possible - it's
not possible for the NW Europe map because it doesn't have any map names in the first place).
Lots more great DCG info and examples here:
http://allaircraftsimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=126&t=1770I remember there used to be a version of this tutorial here at SAS too, but I can't find it now. Creating your own DCG campaign is a blast, and Scharnhorst1943's is a very good tutorial IMO.
Actually, you
could use the DCG campaign files to load the route waypoints into your mission builder. You could also derive the location names from the campaign files, and then
add those locations to the map using the map building bldconf.ini. You can learn more about the map building bldconf.ini here:
