Stalingrad sure does look bleak, you can almost feel the chill and the desperate struggle that went on in those ruins.

The map looks nice in the videos I've seen. However I think it would look better if there was rubble around the collapsed buildings. It looks very "cleaned up" right now, as if all the rubble had been carted off somewhere.

The buildings are a step back even from old IL2 standard. There are things that I do not like with this . But for me the D day is when they bring out the bombers

the way i see it is they played with the alpha channel and textures of the buildings...
That is really basic and disappoints me too.
Not enough to show a city in ruins with a street war going on.
sterile,even if you put soldiers, trucks and jeeps, gun positions and smoke in there.

Hello guys, with the last update the team had actually added a little colour to the scene which made a tremendous difference compared to the monochrome look we had to start with, you can also see rubble piles within the damaged buildings.  Not sure if that feature was there at first but if you pick a ground attack mission and put your aircraft on AI you can press F5 and watch the vehicles wandering through the scene.






Always remember that this is still in the early stages and the end result will probably be a lot better than what you see now.

what i like is the disposition of the factories to represent actually credible factory complexes. the whole industrial thing is well done.
