Unlocking FMB, not even a clue...
« on: December 09, 2012, 12:38:17 AM »

Hi, greetings from Argentina!!

I have a little problem with the FMB, I use the search option here in the forum, but I didn't find a correct anwer.

Currently i'm running the Il2 with this mods enabled

I'm creating a Campaing, based on the book "War in a Stringbag" by Charles Lamb, and I need to modify some maps. Then I go to the FMB and a choose Unlock FMB, but a tiny windows tell me it not implemented yet.

I downloaded Boomer's map editing kit, I enable the two mods via JSGEMODS (Unlocked FMB and Unlocked Maps), but once again i cant unlock FMB.

Also I try to modify the bldconf.ini, wich one i find in this forum, but nothing happens.

What i am doing wrong??? what did I miss???

Regards.

Chuno

PS: sorry for my bad english, it is not my native lenguage

Hello sir perhaps I can help you.

Okay

1) create a folder called "maps" in you root directory

2) find a map you want to mod

3) find that maps "load.ini" in the "all.ini", the all.ini is located in your MAPmods folder.

4) copy the first line of that maps load.ini, that will be the name of the folder that goes in the "maps" folder.

5) for example, if the load.ini is "map1 map1/load.ini". The name of the folder would be map1

6) load up the map, and do some edits, then press SAVE and ONLY SAVE

7)quit game, go to the "maps" folder and copy the folder "map1"  and put in your MAPmods folder, load up the map in FMB and the changes should have taken effect

Hope you can understand this
