Open the map with FMB and then ALT+TAB...you would read what's the problem. Normally when you can't save a mission on a map it's cause
a missed object!

EDIT----------------

Shift+TAB ...sorry for my mistake!

What Modded version of IL-2 are you using Ernst ?

Always good to mention,as it can dramatically narrow the search to a solution  ;)

Ernst, often it is simply a tree or something similar missing, trees goe into _Tex/Trees..aka Mods/#DBW.../MapMods/_Tex/Trees.

I can really recommend having Dark Blue World, no issue with maps and if there's something new the author will provide it.  :)

If you hit shift + Tab when the map loads, take a screenshot, the last lines at the bottom usually tell what's missing.

PS

Here are a huge number of additional objects..

Do you have Cyberolas' Kursk RRR installed?

If not, then that is (part of) the problem. In the Prokhorovka load.ini there is a reference to a texture from the Kursk map.

From one page back -
Quote from: Cyberolas
Oh, that´s fine, maybe there is some line od texture (in load.ini of Prokhorovka) what is depend on Kursk. But I´m little sad now, because I want to have work fine map, even if it will be alone....have anybody any similar experiences?

Edit: Oh, I see it:

Wood0    = East/Kursk/sk_LowLand0.tga
Wood1    =
Wood2    = East/Kursk/sk_LowLand0.tga,-2
Wood3

I apologize everybody who tried install this map unsuccefull. I´m going to publish fix, immediatelly I finish my work on Ardennes.

I am using IL2  ver. 4.12m with SAS Modact 5.11 ( freshly installed accordingly to steps in a guide)
These are my other maps installed as a texture replacement: Crimea,Kuban and Kursk.
After pressing ALT+TAB, I don't get any missing object errors, but "java" related like

java.lang.NullPointerException

This is a black magic to me.
I guess I did stupid thing wiping my previous installation.
I did not make any backup as I was thinking to slowly update everything.

Any help for that, please.
And thank you for responses.

I think Modact 5 installs the instantlogoutput mod by default. Can you check your log.lst file in your IL2 directory and grab the last 100-150 lines and paste them in a reply inside [ code ] [/ code ] tags?

Alternatively you could wait for someone else to post a guide to put the right SFS files in the SFS_AUTO folder and an updated static.ini. I haven't got ModAct 5 installed yet so I can't help yet.
