Skinning Stationary planes
« on: October 26, 2012, 03:27:32 PM »

AFAIK stationary aircraft in FMB can't be skinned, they remain their default paintscheme and only national markings are editable. Any idea on how difficult it would be to implement a feature where we can apply our aircraft skins to the stationary equilvalents? Not too annoying for military airfields but I've been trying to make a pre-war/neutral/post-war civilian airport with C-47s but them all being in Khaki and the same colour kills the immersion.

The only way i think would be to copy and paste the c-47 stationary files, rename it c-47 civilian and a new default skin in your MODS folder at: MODS,(SAS)or(DBW)/default plane skins (or whatever you wanna call it)/3do/plane/C-47 civilian/summer/and then copy and paste the TGA files from the cache in your il2 paintschemes folder.
