How do you install aircraft in DBW? I've put in the Air.ini and Plane_RU entries for the MiG-19S and the F4 Phantom II but I don't know where to put the aircraft folders, I've tried just slotting them into the DBW folder but the game just crashes on 20% startup now.

I've tried googling and searching for instructions but all I get is that I need to put in the Air.ini and Plane_RU entries, nothing tells me where to put the damn folders.

I'm no expert, and there are lots of gurus here who are, but seems to me that the aircraft should go in the DBW folder. (The path being, for example, Computer/Local Disk (C:)/Program Files/Ubisoft/IL-2 Sturmovik 1946/#DBW/_00_F-4 Phantom II).

Surprised you are having an issue. It's usually the air.ini entry that gets messed up so you may want to be sure that it's exactly correct.

Well, with the Air.ini, I seem to have three for some reason, although I figured one was the 1916 one so I never put the entry in it.

I've been searching throu all that I found on how to install mods into DW and what ever I try I get an 70% crash.

I play this game for ten years now and mod it for several years now and never had any troble adding mods but I have not been able to mod DW since I use it. I'm sure that there is some thing I'm doing wrong but I just don't get it. To me it seems that I folow all tutorials and they just tell me to do it the way I've always done it when it still worked.
Can someone please make any sucestions on what could be wrong? ( been trying the mig-19 and the F-4 recently but the same hapened with any other that I ever tried)

There is no difference in modding DBW, UI, HSFX, UP or classic MOD Enabler, just a different folder in which you have to put your files.
For DBW is #DBW where before it was MODS, just that.

I've checked the air.ini entries several times and made sure the folders are in the DBW folder, no change, still crashing at 20% load, every time.

Its a lot straighter in the file itself but thats the gist of it.

The game just load the first file it found.
If you have many air.ini the wrapper load the first one (the higher in the list).
You have to modify the air.ini in this folder: #DBW\STD\com\maddox\il2\objects

Hi, I have the same problem in the DBW DBW1.71 and 1916,
and to comply with the procedure set new aircraft folders,
where they belong by year, go to the # DBW\STD\com\maddox\il2\objects,
and edit the air.ini after in addition iI8n Fill in ru_planes
and ru_weapons, start the game and it crashes at 60-70% load,
where I'm wrong, please advice thanks.

it's probable that you put the mod in the wrong place.
For DBW you must put the mod in the #DBW folder.
So you must have:

#DBW\My mods
In My mods you should  have some files like 6eabc2640e2c18c4, a 3do folder, ecc)
