Apology Accepted In Advance.  ;D ...But No, Unless I Missed Some Totally Epic Update.....currently DBW 1916 Is Not Compatible With Any 4.12 Install As It Requires To Run In DBW.  :( Sorry.

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to alter the popping up trees in iL2 I have a new rig and I am finding it a bit of a spoiler. can I change something in the config to get greater range?

If youre using OpenGL the forrest=3 setting than thast the most you can get out of your game.
Also, when I was editing other maps I noticed that having too many trees in view will cause a constant console error which causes fps drop so increasing the number of visible trees would also require some modification on the il-2 graphics engine which is a very hard thing to do imho.

Theres some chance for a new 4.12 based version but its gonna take time because there are very few programmers interested in doing the huge workload, obliviously. Dont wait for it but rather try to enjoy what you currently got in DBW and DBW-1916.

Almost all frankens were made out of a ww2 era russian U-2VS and they use the same template which is included in the first psd template pack we've released:

Wherever you go theres usually one (or more) guy who dislikes you, in the real life if they cause trouble you can beat them up or something but on the internet you really got one option: to ignore them. If I were you I'd continue like nothing have happened just to piss off that guy.

I've only asked for these templates because I really wanted to use them to make a set of missions using these planes in a pre-early war scenario (Bleriots to DH.2 in allied side and the Italian campaign in 1911-1912 in Lybia, where aircraft were used in combat before the outbreak of WWI and the first aircraft was downed by the rifle fire). I've found templates only for german frankens in the template pack, because of this I've asked here if there is any other source somewhere.

I had no intention to insult anyone or reignite harsh discussions in this forum. I have all the people of this modding community in high esteem and I have great admiration for the modder's superb work. If anyone felt outraged with my question I sincerely apologise.

It´s not your fault Alex840, it is what those particular aircraft represent to me at
this moment.  They will always be airplanes no one wants.

Anyway,
about your war scenario mission, how are you going to pull off a scene with a pilot
shotting at another with only one rifle? We have machine-guns on all airplanes.

Ok Max, i respect your position and apologise any embarassment. For me those frankens are only stopgaps as long as definitive models are not yet available. I hope that we have the real and definitive models soon too.

When i talked about rifle fire, i had talked about reconaissance planes that was downed by infantry when flying low in the first days of aerial warfare in the Italo-Turkish war. Dirigibles were used to bomb enemy positions in this conflict too. This was the first conflict to see military use of aircraft as far as I know.

Hello guys, yesterday I installed DBW1916 following step by step your suggestion and...incredible!!...it works really!!!  :) :) :)

I noticed there are only two factions: German/Austro-Hungarian and all other, Italian, French, etc...
Besides is not possible to assign different mark to the planes. eg: British marks to German planes as Albatross.
Is this right so?

Again, I have not loading-screens when I load mission. Is possible to solve this trouble?
