That has to be the best work I have EVER seen. Thanks for sharing.

They're phenominal, aren't they? Such a lot of time and effort. And the scale. I love the Stalingrad sets. Some individual figure efforts - such as those by Tony Barton or Pad - are more detailed, but there's nothing as matches the scale or depth of these dioramas. Stunning.

Awsome work!! I can´t imagine how much time they´ve spent to create just one set.

I surely would not have the patience to build something like that. I just loved the german ambush in Normandy!

I was wondering if they get these human figures, tanks, motorcycles etc from a regular shop or if they have to have it made by demand...

1/6th models are available from certain shops, there's one or two in the UK, a few more in the US and some elsewhere - China, Japan etc. Dragon Models are the largest manufacturer and a few other companies make them. There's a fair amount of commerical figures made, with of course the most being German, then US, then Russian and British in terms of numbers although invariably the best models are the ones which have been re-tailored, and heavily customised, or occasionally completely scratch-built. I doubt many, if any, of those figures are straight out-the-box. Vehicles are nearly all custom-made by th enthusiasts or small private companies.

See here - vehicles (although some larger companies are beginning to branch out into vehicles - Jeeps and Kubels, although now they're aware of the market, I think armour too) and also exampes of very good quality custom builds:

Thanks Moggy, this brings my plastic modelling time all the way back.

I´ve never see a 1/6 model for anything. Here the biggest we use to see are all 1/32. Hand made vehicles, are almost impossible to find here in South America.

I always had an eye for nice diorams and I am talking about 1/35 sets, I imagine how amazing it is to see some 1/6 diorams... 8)

I'm sure you have, they're usually called GI Joe or action man! They're not very popular because they seem too much like toys. Well, of course really they are.. But some companies definitely produce toys - and others produce models. The distinction between say a tamiya model or a corgy car or something. If that makes any sense. At any rate, they're great for a level of detail you cannot get with the smaller scales. 1/35 stuff can be great for a balance between detail and scale - excepting of course KG von Abt, which seems to have confused its scales somewhat!

Texx, are you talking about plastic models or card stock ones?

Oh yeah, I understand the comparation between Tamiya and Corgi. We´ve much more corgi like miniatures, plastic modelling here is unfortunately dying.

Wad-cutter, I used to build mostly aircrafts from 1/72 to 1/48 (Tamiyas, Hasegawas, Revell, Monogram...), just like this one:https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,14946.0.html
