Ranwers' F4 Phantom?
« on: October 19, 2011, 05:41:19 AM »

Hi Guys,
Today I saw Ranwers' topic in "WIP" section, showing us development of the F4 Phantom project.
Suddenly - it dissapeared!
Anyone can explain what had happened?
Thank You and sorry for weird topic.

So, no F-4? Will F-4 topic come back to WIP section?

Just my two cents, isn't it possible to just ignore the side requests? :hmmm:

I'm with SAS~Crazyflak on this one. I am not a talented modder, but get TOTALLY f*cked off with people tagging requests onto WIP or new release threads. It just seems ungrateful and down right rude.

I think just the topic is gone. The project itself has come since a long time, and continues strongly. Jedi Master Ranwers does not quit  :)

So project will stay WIP, but because some people couldn't hold back this morning we won't be able to know about the progress being made?

Just to clarify for a a few people. Quite a few of the popular jet projects in the last year have suffered from a bit too much attention from the community. Some would say that is a good thing BUT for the small teams of modders, it sometimes gets overwhelming. I can speak from personal experience where I started spending more time answering emails and moderating the WIP threads than I did working on the damn mod!!

So really, all Ranwer's thread did was just confirm that there is a F-4 Phantom II project in the works. And to allow the team some space to work on it, and save some speculation, flame wars and CirX's hosting bills, the thread was taken down. People are now aware that possibly this aircraft might be available for Il-2 at some stage.

P.S. Before anyone even suggests it, this wasn't a 'I CLAIM THE F-4' post either. This project has been worked on for a very long time and only in the recent weeks was revealed to the team and now the public. I think we should all be happy that Ranwers has taken on this much-wanted project and be assured that quite a few peope had/have helped on it (myself included)
