The UP 3.0RC2 release post says it "Includes the really big and suitable for many missions North African map." The statement seemed questonable to me when I found no add-to-all.ini file was included in the download. I installed UP 3.0RC2 but did not find the North African Map to which this statement refers. Perhaps, I made some mistake. Has anyone found this map in their UP 3.0RC2 hot fix?

Thanks for responding to my inquiry.

While I found the installation instructions were simple, I can only conclude that I somehow did something wrong.

So you have this map and did not have to manually add an line for it to your ...\#UP#\maps\all.ini file?

Please, disable the all.ini in your #UP# folder or the game will keep loading that file, it is the old all.ini

Holy [expletive deleted]! That's some map! Huge and beautifully populated.

This does raise another question. While I used UP 2.01 previously, I manually installed a number of mods that came afterwards. In UP 3.0RC, I manually installed the Autogyroplane. However, suppose I wanted to install another map not included in UP 3.0. What would I do? Wait for Dark Blue World, maybe?

Question: If I add the N. Africa load ini to the #UP#/map folder, will the map show??

Thanks. I think not that many people realize to disable the all.ini to make this map showing up. Probably this map will never be noticed I'm afraid.
But by disabling the all.ini how can we add new maps then? Or adding older maps that are not included in UP3.0 but the ones from previous modpacks?

Already did.
Couldn't figure out why the map didn't show.
I forgot the ini's in the UP folder overrode the standard ini.

It works if you go into the #UP#/STD/maps/all.ini file , and add .........

Northern_Africa_Jir Northern_Africa_Jir/load.ini

after the MTO_Light.load.ini

Doesn't have to be added here, but I like to keep the "MOD" ini, the same as the internal one......(not counting maps that do not come with UP RC2.

Yes sir, I have confirmed that this works for the Northern Africa Map. Also, I have confirmed that it works for maps not included in UP 3.0RC2. I thank you very much for sharing this. I think it will be useful to a number of IL-2 fans.
