I will dump CoD on to another PC with 6 Gigs of Ram and a 1.5 Gig card
and see if it works, it will probably flicker or stutter

I know 6 Gigs is not much 8 is better but I'm an optimist.

If anyone out there has CoD and it worked "Perfect" like the all the "perfect youtube videos"

When it works ( usually over water) its cockpits with shadows  & exterior textures/models of aircraft are better than Il-2 modded ones...everything else not as good ...yet(?)
Went back to HSFX5.0 & it was a beautiful thing...just waiting for UP3.0 to make my life complete...Thanks all you modders out there!!!

 ??? ??? Well I just can not imagine why so many are having trouble running the CoD game
so it must be weak processors, weak cards and not enough ram or a combination of all three.

Where can the CoD game be successfully d/l and how big is the file / how long does it take?

My Ubisoft folder with mods in my program files is 40.8 Gigs ?

something positive about Cliffs of Dover..

1. the huge amount of fun I've had ... reading through the CoD forums. Really much more entertaining than the game itself.

2. CoD got me into Wings of Prey, a hugely underrated game IMHO, which is getter better with every patch, and n.b. these are patches designed to improve on an already solid game rather than to fix a badly broken one. The devs are following players suggestions and in the latest patches they have included features such as 'free flight' with optional take off, yes 0 enemies, just enjoy the scenery. Optional take off in missions, new flight models, new cameras in playback, and best of all a mission editor (soon to be released) which will negate the inherent limitations of the current playable offline content. With WOP 2 in the pipeline it's possible that this game, and not CoD, could be the true successor to IL-2!
