Modding COD?
« on: April 18, 2011, 06:23:47 PM »

Anyone find anything interesting in the files? All I see is SFS files. Was hoping to make some seaplanes flyable.

Hi,

In order to extract anything from the sfs files, you'll need to use kegetys dll, which you can find info and instructions on at his site; kegetys.net

I've made a simple mod that makes all aircraft flyable. You can see a simple vid here:

And download the modified files that need to be used in conjunction with kegetys.dll here: https://www.mediafire.com/?0vdegv413df69v3

As far as interesting things go... there is are several files pertaining to a floatplane spitfire in the retail game. The Su-26 still has some files as well, and maybe the msh. There are a lot of other interesting little things too, sc1000, ShVAK and UBS.

Also, theres this....

Thanks, this is interesting and I will try out the file unloader. Wish I could see what you found but just get a red X.

I am also trying to get my head around this. So I first dump all the files and then use the command line for any modded file, do I need a different command line for each mod?

Alright, can you see this image?

For my mod to work you need to have kegetys dll installed. Then extract the archive, put the AAF folder in the cliffs of dover directory and add a paramter to the shortcut made for kegetys mod that reads "-mod=AAF" then that should be it.

How do you get 2 copies of COD running? Do you put them in differing folders and register both?
