Radio broadcasts
« on: December 29, 2010, 07:43:10 AM »

I made some radiopack for 4.10. You can copy it in your radio dir. Of course you may change the arrangement of the files. I tried to be accurate regarding the dates. Some broadcasts are limited to months or even days, depending on their actualety. You can tune down the engine sounds a bit. When you did download my previous pack just overwrite. Of course you can rearrange the files as you like... The first pack is only German, the second contains all other broadcasts.

I only used youtube-clips for these. You have to download them to your HD. It's easy to find some software for this. I saved them as mp.4.  Then you need an audio extractor to get soundfiles. you can use AoA audio extractor and save to mp3. You can use low frequenty and bitrate, it won't affect sound quality because it is (and has to) be very low.. (Myself used an other one..) Sometimes you have to trim files. Then comes the ESSENTIAL part. Il2 can only read *.wav files. You have to make il2 believe these mp3 are *.wav. You can download a free program called CDEX. Then use the option  CONVERT and add IFF header to mp3 file. Then it plays in Il2.

I also found out that filenames have to be very clear, otherwile files won't play and you hear the default background music. The speeches of Hitler on 08-11-1942 won't play onless you rename them...

I put the wrong files in Grosdeutscher_Rundfunk dir 19421108. Delete dir and put these in it.

Thx for music guys.
I found at M4T a lot of music http://mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads&c=586
but still was missing a sound for the Finnish radio (Suomen_Yleisradio)
Now I found a good Finn music included in the nice Porsimo's Finnish front campaign: http://www.porsimo.net/fb/campaigns/
nauttia, ystäviä !  :)

@ Konigstiger, there are a few threads which discuss changing fonts, you just need to do a little search, mate.  ;)

Sorry about OT, but this is so hilarious I have to respond about this Finnish language sentence.
Ecto, you just gave expression that you maybe might enjoy your friends with little bit cannibalistic way.   :)
"Nauttikaa ystävät!" is maybe what you meant.
