You fake it. Just because the P-38H isn't in the game doesn't mean that you can't make a skin for it. Anyhow, the skins for most models of Lightning are interchangeable.

If you have UP or HSFX, then you have a P-38H-5-LO. There is also a void in the paintschemes folder to assist with making new templates. Also, If you look at the pic in the original post, you will notice it is not a J or an L (The air scoops under the props). Pursuivant is correct though, the skins are interchangeable.

My bad. I'd forgotten that the P38H was in there - there are so many variants and I don't fly the Lightning series that often!

One little notice: as far as I know P-38G subtypes were used during the mission, not the H. I find this info in every article.

That very well could be cuccos19 but,it's really hard to tell the subtypes P-38F/G/H always seem to be classed together for some reason,there must not have been big noticeable differences externally more than likely something in the cockpit or different weapons configuration differentiated the models.
