In general, good Rock music (particularly good guitar work), anything from Progressive Rock to Hard, to Metal.  When he visited my old site (I am talking circa 1999-2000), I had a "MIDI" track of "Watcher of the Skies" by Genesis, from the "Foxtrot" LP... and literally that is how the conversations started.  Oh and by Genesis I mean the only Genesis there was (Peter Gabriel, Steve Hackett, Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford, Phil Collins); the newer stuff was cool, but a Peter Gabriel-less Genesis is as good as a Roger Waters-less Pink Floyd.  And don't get me started on Van Halen...   

Anyway, my taste has evolved... I used to only listen to Hard Rock and Metal... now I also listen to Progressive Metal, Viking Metal, Thrash Metal, Goth Metal... you know... a much more refined taste.
