I wanted to get this working in HSFX 7.0.2 and was not sure what all was needed.  Sooooooo I tried the 4.09 version and it loads, I see the plane in gui, hit fly and there is no cockpit, expected....

I hit F2 and I can see all the 109T flying around T1/T2's and they play like they should except for player aircraft..... duh...

When this starts what cockpit is the files looking for I have the GW 109 cockpits but I'm not sure which one should go in the 3do file and how it should be named.  I figured it should be the E-7 but it doesn't work.

I had all this working in HSFX 5.xxx and didn't use half of the stuff required for 4.11 in the thread.....................

Any help would be appreciated.

In fact I created that plane for 4.09 and 4.10 versions (especially UP2 and UP3). Little by little, some programmers were able to adapt this mod for 4.11 and then 4.12 versions.

Now, if you want to get those planes, you can download the Bf-109 Ultimate pack for 4.12 that contains Better Tonies : https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,37634.0.html.

I mean cockpit, external 3d and texture improvements.

I know this is an old topic, but I wonder whether this 109 would have been suitable for a carrier, especially giving it's small landing gear and forward view while taxiing.

especially giving it's small landing gear

I think that right there is the biggest problem...The landing gear.  I understand that the 109 was built with it's narrow track landing gear (When people bash it, I love to call it "Spitfire Style" landing gear) for reasons, including the ability to just detach the wings in the field so you could roll it up on a rail car for transport, swap wings easily, etc...

However I think this basically means that you're stuck with narrow gear, and you can't do anything to change it.

View while taxing, well, maybe actually better than radials.  The short range certainly couldn't help it, it's basically limited to local carrier defense.  I think the only reason the 109T got any development work done at all was that it was all they had at the time.  That said, a carrier based 190 would have probably been a much better option.

Sorry to bump such an old topic but does anyone have the 409 download for this?

Was going to give this another shot but the link seems to be dead.

Try this archive:

I don't give any guarantee because I have never really used this mod!  :-X

Thank you!

I used it once or twice before, I think there was a glitch I didn't understand.  I want to see if I can figure it out this time.

Yup lol...  This always happens about 40 meters of altitude above the ground when trying to land.  Need to investigate.

As near as I can tell...It's somehow being triggered through something in one of the mesh files.  If I replace the 3d Mesh with the old short wing version, everything works.  But then I have wrong wings, and no bombs...

Okay, tomorrow is the day!
I have no memory of this problem!

Fixed!  At least for my install.

I ran into two problems...First the AI would hit their wings on takeoff...Second, the strange freezing problem.

I put in older mesh from older mod, and did some simple edits, all working now.
