UP 2.01 ? then you must have F-51D-30NA Mustang with Napalm tanks available for flying  :o
Did you installed also small necessary patch for those running steam version of IL-2 1946 ?

I will check again this evening to see if I have the F-51D-30NA.  I thought you were saying it was a selectable plane in the single missions area...but I'll bet it's in the Quick Combat area.  Also, I never installed any patch for steam version so maybe that's the prob.  Do you have a link?

Thanks

start your game and in your quick mission builder select for example :

Hi smink1710  :)

it's called QMB quick mission builder or for you it is quick combat area .
Patch for STEAM users is somewhere at UltraPack website forum .
I am using now my crapy notebook since gaming desktop is compiling
WWII documentary for YouTube upload .
Once it is done in next 10 minutes or so , I'll try to help you to find the patch .
Maybe someone will jump in here providing link  :)
I'll be back........................

Yes , I believe that patch for Steam IL-2 1946 version users is necessary for mods to work .
It will probably only take installing the patch over your UP 2.01 version and that's all  :)

EDIT: I noticed you asked many questions already quite some time ago at UltraPack website
about this stuff .
from UltraPack website :

I FINALLY got this sucker working.  When UP2.0 was installing it was pointed to the wrong version of IL2 1946.  As previously stated, I purchased the game from steam and for some reason it creates two different IL2 1946 files in your program files.  One is under Ubi and the other under Steam/games.  The mod wasn’t working because it was going into the Ubi version instead of the Steam/games version.  Tried Steam/games and it worked first time.  The other thing you need to do is use the utorrent version and not the 7 part deal.  Thanks again for everyone’s help.

Question...now that I can add mods from the list of 38...what are your faves?

Can you ask there about this patch and if it is the right one ?

The steam version needs this patch, not sure if related to your problem but the downloaded versions do need this patch.

PS:

It is recommended to move your folders out of the ProgramfilesX86 folder and into a folder you create named Games on your C: Drive
Clean install of 4.09m through steam in c:\Programfilesx86\steam\steamapps\...\common\Il2 Sturmovik 1946

The cockpit Gore  and the gear damage mod must go in the MODS folder. Both mods are activated with a specifics events example the cockpit gore its activated when a bullet make a hole in the windscreen or in the instrument and hurts the pilot this for reflect that the bullet pierce the cockpit.

With the damage gear mod you must hit exactly in the gear its too difficult achieve this shot in planes with landing gear cover.

Only dont forget that this mod must be in the MODS folder.

Thanks for your email wolf.  Can the mods be in both the MODS folder and jsgmemods or just MODS?

OK…still getting no love from my mods.  Specifically I’m referencing the following:

Plutonium Maximum Effects Mod V1
Landing gear damage MOD
WolfighterGoreCockpitFXs
0_Wolfighter_Gore4allPlanes_v1

I am running the steam version of 1946 and have added the
In my conf doc I have HighGore=1
I’m using the UP 2.01 and it shows up on the main 1946 game loading page.
I created a Game folder in Windows C Drive and move 1946 to that folder
I tried changing the way the game is running to Direct X vs. Open GL which is what had been selected.
I placed all the above mods in the gage MODS folder and Plutonium Maximum Effects Mod V1 is the first folder listed.
I have taken the above mods out of my jsgmemods folder
When I play the game…drop napalm on tanks I get large clouds of fire but no explosion with “fingers”
When I get shot to hell behind a bomber I get multiple bullet holes in canopy but no blood
When I shoot the hell out of a Heinkel I see no dropping landing gear

I am VERY open to suggestions and appreciate anyone’s help.
