New map for CENTRAL MED.

Hi everybody !
First time I announce one of my works here


This add'on is not only a repaint but a new map with 9 new airfields allowing a better use of the map for online dogfight. The buildings I used for big cities are Canon-UK's ones which allow flying over them without drasdic FPS loss (just try it ;) )

INSTALLATION (now activated via JSGME):
1-Extract in your game folder
2-Add this line in your maps list (all.ini) :
                 CentralMed(GW)      mrz_Centmed/GW_centmed_load.ini
3-Activate in JSGME

OTHER REQUIRED MODS (objets) :
Canon_UK buildings (Channel map)
fortifications & hangars mods by LAL Rone
egyptian & TOW objets also ...
Uuflakke med. buildings.

NO ADITIONNAL MOD required  for UP 3.x or HSFX 5.x


AKNOWLEDGEMENTS : 
-Maraz FOR ORIGINAL MAP (He gave me authorization for using his work)
-Canon-UK, LAL-Rone, Uuflakke and a few others for objects
-Viking, Agracier for textures.
... and everyone who helped me with work, advises & documentations.

NB: You'll also find one cooperative test mission in :

UPDATE v1.0b: original Maraz 's map not required anymore (missing file provided) and map compatible with  IL2 4.10M with SAS ModAct+objects pack.


UPDATE v1.1 : A few bridges were corrected and I added Uuflakke med. buildings & desert trees.

I wouldn't be very surprised if CirX gave you the modder status in a very short  time ...  ;)


accidental edit by Malone: well, as Cirx is probably still examining the inside of his eye-lids, i have gone ahead and changed Gilb's profile to modder group. check PM's, mate - i'm going to move this thread to the Maps section.... 8)

EDIT:

...no prob Malone, so if I remember well I wrote I already had the map and it was a beauty with no fps drop above Valetta, and also, well folks looks like the MTO is getting trendy here ... :D (Automn is approaching, so let's go and fly above those warm skies ... ;) )

Just try a low alt. dogfight over Malta Valetta harbour  ;) ... and I'll just thank Canon_UK for allowing that with his buildings !

GOOD question .... in fact, Maraz map is included in UP2.xx and I use it, so it's difficult to me to be sure that no file is missing, if you don't have UP...

Did someone tried it as first install ?

... there are a few Malta missions in these campaigns, but you will have to change the name of the map in each .mis file to use GilB's map (mrz_Centmed/GW_centmed_load.ini) ...

downloaded archive seems to be broken? I downloaded it several times with download manager but get an error message when I try to extract it.


...well I have just re-downloaded it, no problem at all, may be you should try without download manager ...  ;)

Skipper, you can try this one from an older version of this map. it should work fine, but i make no guarantees.... :D
