Nine Lives Spitfire campaign Updated
« on: September 10, 2010, 02:40:01 PM »

I've just updated and released the new, improved version of

"Nine Lives – Historic Spitfire campaign, Dunkirk and Battle of Britain 1940"

http://mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads3&file=details&id=545

Changes to version 1.1

Changed the enemy train in England to a friendly British train

Corrected some missing skins on Bf 109s in some missions

Eliminated all Zuti entries in the mission files so the missions will run better with or without the Zuti MDS

Eliminated all damaged buildings – this was causing a loading problem for some people because of the updated version of the Canon English Channel map.  Unfortunately, it also means that Dunkirk will not have that blown up and burned out look and all the UK airfields will be clean and undamaged.  I didn’t want to do this, however it seems necessary so that the missions are compatible with future installs and Ultrapack updates.

Happy flying.   :)

Really enjoyed playing the original version of this - one of the best BoB campaigns out there!  :)

Will definitely give the update a try :)

Many Thanks, mate :)

Hi Stratodog
I could fix the first problem
It was the Decal shine that probably didn't have the 54 squadron on its files
I disabled it with a "-" in front and the first mission loaded fine
After playing the first mission I couldn't load the second one
The error message is:In section g0121 "field" Class contains unknown class
Can you help me
Best regards

If the link in the first post doesn't work, then I have no idea.  The D/L is hosted by M4T.

Chuffed? that's a new one for me.   :D    Glad you like it.  You'll find that there are several missions that are not in the book as well so there will be at least a couple of surprises.  The campaign represents every combat mission of 54 squadron in 1940.  Since Al wasn't on all of them, there are some extras.  Plus, he is rather clipped and vague about the details of a few of his missions in late Aug -early Sept, 1940.
