did you read the readmes and have all the nescessray additional mods installed?

namely the full Anto's 109 pack? otherwise you are missing planes.

Looks like a great campaign. I installed it, and selected under Luftwaffe "Boelcke's defense of the reich" but when it comes to select which time in the campaign and choose aircraft I push the little green button in the lower right hand corner and it just pops back up again and I can't get to my mission.

Hi,

i just need more informations, like Vampire_pilot said, beside UP or HSFX there is Anto´s Bf109 pack needed.

Also a good idea is always to update your briefing files for ALL dgen campiagns from vtrelut:

http://mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads&file=details&id=2615

it solves many problems.

If it still does not work, try it once again and close IL2. Start explorer and look into the IL2 root folder, there you will find a dgenerror.log or/and a dgenerror2.log file. Copy the content of the files here into the forum and i can have a look.

At the moment I fly Boelcke's campaign with UP 2.01 (+ latest SAS buttons file) and no other mods installed and it works without problems. I think it is possible to play it without Anto's pack. I noticed that the missing Bf-109s don't appear in the plane selection menue, even though they are included in the planesdeO file.

Yes, it works as long as another plane is asigned as fighter, that should be in all subcampaigns, but don´t choose a 109 that isn´t installed.

i tried that also and got a backfire in the very fisrt mission as a 109G5 was in a random flight and i did not have thet from stock UP. got an error right away.

i did not select it as player so you may experience luck until now that no Anto 109 was called up yet.

actually i found a low_res cockpit version here on SAS to work with, at least I can play now. i still hate these cockpits though as the sun shines through the dashboard! which i find extremely annoying. same for original high res and low res....

I have just checked the db files. The only subcampaigns with Anto's BF-109G5 or BF-109G5AS are RV_Berlin43 and  RV_BerlinMai44. If you don't want to install his pack you can try to remove the entries of the planes in the [Squadrons] and [Planes] sections (but first backup both files).

actually, Boelcke, being quite well into the campaign now, lets give some feedback.

I actually find it too easy! this is a turkey shoot.

I am into Mai 44, almost no contct with escorts  over Berlin (either missing or too few catched early by roaming squads). My Staffel had no (!!) casualty since the beginning of 44! (now is 8. june and we transfered to balaton). I am averaging 2 B 17s per mission (holding back) while being downed only once early in a 109. my 190 A7 has been absolutely unscratched so far.

I donno, but can the fights be more dense with the bombers or more numberwise? i have seen them wandering around like they missed their bombers completely also.

but then... i have nothing against a good turkey shoot now and then;)

you can increase the difficulty in the [dgen] section of confi.ini:

set CampaignAI=Hard (Normal is default)

or/and

CampaignDifficulty=Hard

or/and

Maxbomberskill=1 or 2 or 3

look into the pdf file in the file pack called "confi_ini_guidefor_dgen_section.pdf" there is a description about the meaning of the settings.

But the changes will work only if you start a new (sub)campaign or when changing from one subcampaign to another.

CampaignDifficulty=Hard is set for me.

also i encounter a lot of bomb equipped P-38s over balaton. I think these should perform some ecort duty but insted behave like bombers: do nothing until you shoot them out of the sky. then they bail out.... can it eb prevented that they have these loaouts?

The spawn thing is maybe hardcoded... but I think the squad balance should be more favoring the allies in 44 since when 8 Fw 190 + 8 109s attack 4 P-51s... the outcome is clear. the other 4 p-51 just flying sightseeing with bombs

I have told you some more possible edits than CampaignDifficulty, Why don't you try them?

because I have, as said. why getting angry?

Maxbomberskill and CampaignAI also but I know and try these things... outcome is allways too few and too easy oponents.

all of this won't help against bomb carrying escorts and still too few of them.
yes i use UP2.01 which used the modified AI, so they behave as expected by me but they should not have the loadouts to begin with.

we can end this here, I don't want to anger you and just wanted to tell about my experience.
