ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!

You make some outstanding models - no wonder you get commissions, how much do you charge BTW?

Not bad for TSAW  ;D

lol! Thanx.

I dont actually like taking commisions. And it depends on what sort of build it is. SOme want very customised superdetailing. Others want an out of the box. I always try to figure out what would be the amount that I am more or less sure nobody would pay for the commission, and then I ask double that.

Well when I finally get the money to buy my 1:1 scale F4U kit I know who to call and what sort of haggling room I have for the assembly charge... ;) :D

SAS~CirX,

You have a great passion in this kind of hobby. I used to spend a long time building over 30 of model planes when I was at teenager ages, which was long time ago.  They obviously wasn't as detailed or good as your amazing BF 109 scaled model plane, but I had a great fun time and passion in what I was doing back there.

I enjoyed viewing through each pictures you posted here, and like I said, your model look amazing and excellent job on this model plane!

:)

Chaoic out...

A great build.

With all the detail on the plane proper you may find this a silly question but....how did you go about detailing that umbrella?
What is the covering made of?
How did you apply the numbers and the palm and swastika to it?

The umbrella is made from styrene strips, masking tape and guitar strings. The canvas is made from blank decal film, layered on and crincled with vinegar in progressive layers, like , sculpted on one layer at a time, in small sections. It takes a while to complete.  the emblems on it are also decals I printed on the decalfilm, and layered in. The rest is airbrushwork.

Thanks for the info.

You put more work into the umbrella than I do on entire models. :)
