A little aid
« on: April 17, 2025, 07:56:08 AM »

Hallo to all.
I have try first 4.13 and then 4.12 releases, but not convinced at all, now i have mounted 4.09 and add all the add-ons of my interest
and all work fine. For me the best and more light mod.
The unic map that i need and that i can't find is the Northern_Africa_Jir old release (V1).
Is possible still have this map?

Thanks in advanced

... hello pacificwar !  ;)

... why V1 when V2 has a lot of improvements ...?

"Total replacement of old buildings for desert homes, more appropriate.
Expansion of the sea to facilitate naval actions.
Now the Suez Canal is navigable."

thanks again for your aid for Baltimore, now is perfect...

I have something to tell you about your 4.09 version Baltimore.

version 4.09 Baltimore :
  - have a trap door.
  - There is no bombsite.
  - The bomb bay opens automatically.
  - There are a lot of weapon loadouts to choose from.

4.12 version Baltimore :
  - No trap door.
  - There is a bombsite, but this will hurt your eyes.
  - The bomb bay can be manually controlled.
  - There are fewer weapon loadouts to choose from.

Note these differences.

and I know your 1946 version is 4.13. So in the future, I recommend you to use more than 4.12 mods if possible.

Thank you.

PS : a user informed me that the 4.12 version's bombsite works well without any problems.

That's normal!
In my 409, the bomb bays of all new aircraft open with a key on the keyboard (player).
But in the mods I've proposed this isn't the case.
Why ?
Because you have to modify a generic game class. As this Class is used for many situations/improvements and is different for 409 ModAct or 409 UP2.01 games, I never proposed a distribution of this Class.

In fact, the post above was written to ask 'pacificwar' for his understanding in advance, for the case he wondered that the 4.09 version I recommended to him did not have a bombsite.
   * because the bombsite problem is now an issue.

Therefore, it's a post that you master don't have to care too much about...
