He-70 (new model) Cockpit Pack for BAT
« on: September 26, 2024, 05:40:09 AM »

Cockpits for He-70. Includes cockpits of pilots and shooting points.
The appearance of cockpits and their equipment is semi-historical, this is an attempt to create cockpits from photos of the prototype.

https://www.mediafire.com/file/ja4jasoee0euizz/He-70_Cockpits.7z/file

To install:

1. Unpack to the BAT root.
2. In the #TGA3\Classes-BAT\com\maddox\il2\objects\air folder, locate and rename file HE_70B.class

Cockpit is compatible with versions 4.12.2 - 4.14.1

I did not find reliable information, but most likely it is hydraulics.

Very nice.

This plane type is associated with the death of Gen Walther Wever:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walther_Wever_(general)

Some believe the German strategic bomber program would have been more successful if he did not die in 1936 after failing to do a thorough check of his He-70 prior to takeoff.  His son of the same name ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walther_Wever_(pilot) ) became an Ace and died in 1945 with 44 kills.  43 were achieved in the Eastern Front.

Some what if scenarios (father), as well as historical scenarios (son) could definitely be developed here...
