Hi folks,

Just a sneak peek into another newcomer in Ultrapack 3.4 "Cassie" Patch 3: The F-86D-40/45 "Sabre Dog".
It's been around in BAT for quite some time and some of you might have asked themselves "why not in UP"?
Simple reason was: AI was more or less unable to use this kite correctly.
But that's what we are here for: Fix what's broken, improve the rest.

The video below shows 3 consecutive attack runs of an AI F-86D-40 against a Tu-4.
AI was on "average" level here and the 3 takes are unedited and not pre-selected, means instead of having a "once in a million" chance for AI to hit the target, as it was before, now they hit it quite reliably and AI performs very reasonable attack manoeuvres, with or without evasive action from the victim, plus they attack out of range for the victims' defensive armament now:



On a sidenote, this AI improvement opens the door for much better attack patterns of AI planes with guided missiles as well.

Thank you for another upgrade. Is the K variant planned, the one with cannons?
I'm afraid it will be too hard to hit anything airborne with those rockets...

The K already exists in Ultrapack.

A tad too good to be true I would say.
IMHO it should be a bit on the "brick" side of things, ingame however it rather feels like the best dogfighter of the Sabre set overall.
