Hello.

There is something called "FogLow=2 FogHaze=2" in my "conf" item.
What effect does changing this value have?

these are hidden parameters in conf.ini, that allow you to increase or reduce the fog and haze close to the ground. However to be able to manipulate them you need a mod available at aviaskins that allow to change conf.ini settings in real time (no need to reboot) and unlock some hidden features

Thank you “Frankiek”.

I went to see "aviaskins".
I don't even understand English, so Russian was an unknown world to me.
I looked for an item similar to the one you asked, but couldn't find it.
Is there anything in this "SAS" that can add "fog" to the landscape on the ground?
The view from 3000m is great when the ground looks a little hazy.

It is here:

Anyway if I remember correctly this mod was build to allow users change conf parameters while playing the game....instead of quit , change and restart.

Moreover fog and haze value can be anyway set manually in conf.ini....and they 'll remain and not overwritten....

For example I have mine values in conf.ini from a long time....

I tried this change configuration.ini in real time mod a few years ago. It was a bit painful to use.

After getting to grips with Java, I made changes to the class which sets the fog/haze values associated with each of the weather types. For thunder I reduced the fog level a step, based on the generally real world condition of visibility in thundery weather being not uniformly poor everywhere.

I should look into at least adding control of this in either or both of conf.ini and the mission file...

But more aggravating to me is the horrible morning fog, which is beyond access to us mortal modders, being set, I would guess, in a .dll.

Thank you “Whiskey_Sierra_972” and “Glenn”.

I tried various things, but the biggest hurdle was the English language.
The translation was so difficult to understand that I couldn't figure out what to do next.

Thank you everyone for your advice.
