You mean Frank ? George ? Jack ?
You serious ? Oscar ?!!!
That is a very sharp pilot vs a not very sharp pilot.
Oscars vs F4U ?

Nothing ever matches an Oscar.
Oh... Maybe an eggnog from salty army 4 does, but you better ask KT about it once he finished shutting down engine no.2 on his Bf 190.

Good event. I joined closer to the end and in all my ignorance managed to spoil the fun of one B7A pilot by (accidentally) bailing out from the gunner's seat.  :o Sorry, I was stupid.
Otherwise, it was a great fun.
And yes, I also tried to chase the Corsair in my Ki-45. Damned Yankee didn't want to dogfight near our airfield (I wonder why) and just vrrroomed away.
It was a pity that blue side didn't have torp bombers on the land field...

This Helldiver dares to come over our airfield , and behaves like a fighter plane , chasing a N1K1

My Ki-102 will try to help my buddy

But the N1K1 is hit...

...and destroyed before I can rescue him .

After that , the Helldiver escapes and my plane is not powerful enough to follow him .

Helldiver the fighter, what's the hell.  8)
Is Ki-102 so slow? I never tried it.

Just looked into Compare for BAT, this is a speed graph for SB2C5 Helldiver. Don't know if it's different in UP.
Max dive speed is 700 km/h, so probably it can outrun some Jap planes in the dive, for a short time.

Yes, the helldiver leaves a lot to be desired.
It's a flying tank, that outruns and outturns many Japanese fighters.
Unfortunately, that's the case with many mods from certain source: They're made to be invincible.

Taking off a Ki-84 carrying two 250 kg bombs

I climb high ( 6500 m ) to approach the ennemy carriers

Then I dive , best tactics to avoid ennemy AAA

Everything is looking good until now

But suddenly my fuel tank is hit !
I drop my bombs randomly

I am in the middle of a killzone ! Now my engine is dead !

Trying to bellyland on a little island close to the ennemy fleet

Successful bellylanding
