This is an updated version of Rikens PBJ pack, for those that remember I was working on this long ago, and unfortunately life got in the way. but I believe I've finally (after 4 years) gotten the pack to a point to where i can release it. hopefully life doesn't get in the way again, and i can continue to improve it, but if not at least this was a step in the right direction for the PBJ's

This pack includes the PBJ 1C, 1D, 1G, 1H, 1Hc, and 1J. couldn't get the radome to work from the original pack but I will add that later in the event I figure out the issue

Updated Loadouts utilize Dreamk's weapons packs for new weapon options

Required Mods

Torpedoes and Gliding torpedoes Pack by Dreamk Here
US WW2 Air-Ground Ordnance Pack by Dreamk Here

Known Issues
  • Torpedo's need the bomb bay open to drop
  • Torpedo's are dropped with the rocket key
  • Weapon hooks need a little work on placement
  • Smoke Tanks not working correctly, only one produces smoke instead of all 4

Planned Improvements
  • Updated hook locations (possibly include Knochenlutscher's bomb bay refinements)
  • Fix issue of requiring Bomb bay to be open to drop torpedo's
  • Expand on loadouts based off of historical and probable uses
  • Reimplement the Radome PBJ thats missing from this pack

Update 1.1

added a few missing weapon classfiles as well as missing msh files

also updated the wing bomb hooks (thanks to Knochenlutscher, i was able to pull the hook locations from his bomb bay loadouts mod)



now bombs and smoke tanks on the wing racks are in there proper positions

Tiny Tims also got added to the J model,



and their mounts were changed over to the bomb racks based off of this reference picture




Download Here Only been tested on 4.12.2 with MODACT, cant guarantee it will work in any other versions, please feel free to test and report back, thanks!

in an effort to continue to improve this pack i found a few reference photos as to how the Tiny Tim Rockets were mounted.



This image shows the rocket mounted to the outermost bomb rack on the wing

I was able to quickly replicate this in IL2



i also plan to include a belly mounted option in the near future as shown in the photo below



and i believe the racks on the bomb bay doors in this picture are for the tiny tim's, id like to try and replicate these as well

so far the only problem I have noticed is that PBJ-H1N is not available in the QMB window at all:

Are you running the mod in BAT? And so uld you mind sending me the Log?

If it is in bat, I suspect it has something to do with the name change it was given since it was originally the PBJ-1c in rikens pack and I used that name here.

If I get a chance to take a closer look I will.

Looks like I may have missed a few files in the upload, I’m going to double check everything with a clean install, and hopefully in a day or 2 I can put it out with a few small tweaks as well

I appreciate your efforts 8) and am glad that work on this package of aircraft continues ]thumleft[, without this type of armament I cannot imagine air-sea operations in the Pacific :P.

Pack has been updated in first post!

added a few missing weapon classfiles as well as missing msh files

also updated the wing bomb hooks (thanks to Knochenlutscher, i was able to pull the hook locations from his bomb bay loadouts mod)



now bombs and smoke tanks on the wing racks are in there proper positions

Tiny Tims also got added to the J model,



and their mounts were changed over to the bomb racks based off of this reference picture
