NOTE: The pointer.mat and pointer.tga file included here may be present in another mod of yours; NG_CAM is one possibility. Be sure this folder resides above any other mod folder containing these files.


From the readme file:

Currently the difficulty option to remove icons removes also the 'open cockpit' edge-of-screen arrows which point to off-screen planes.

This little mod removes the arrows, while leaving plane icons visible. As long as this mod folder is in your installation, you will be unable to see the arrows irrespective of the difficulty setting.

This was done by simply setting the .mat file's opacity to zero, rendering the texture as fully transparent.

Of course, you can disable icons via the difficulty option, as usual.

Hello WxTech,

thank you very much.

Your post here clarifies everything! 

I've been making my videos for many years (but don't upload them all) and I've never had any problems with these arrows until yesterday.

And yes, I also fly with the NG_CAM mod. My new video is (almost) finished.

I just have to bring the story to this new video to the text because nobody else understands what this video is supposed to "tell".

Once the video is uploaded to YouTube, I'll get back to everyone who helped me with the "arrow" problem.
