Hello New member (2nd time )
« on: June 15, 2023, 11:32:01 AM »

Hello guys. I used to be an active member here but I can't remember the username I made up or the email I used.

A bit about myself.

I have A.d.d. attention defecit disorder. Nope. My parents, family, teacher's lied to me. I don't have that. I have short term memory loss. And I forget more when I'm either threatened or get stressed out. Too the point where I forget everything! And I'm left with just the emotions but with no memory of why I feel these emotions.

  More about me.

I love aircraft. i love virtually flying in IL-2 sturmovik 1946(Steam purchased). I'm downloading BAT as I type this. 11 mb/s a second baby yah! I also have played X plane 11.50 and now I fly in MSFS 2020. I'm a trained glider pilot in real life. I'm going to get my ultra light and advanced ultra light license as well (If I need to). There were and are so many items that don't work right in msfs2020 that I began contacting the aircraft engine manufacturers and aircraft manufacturers. The more I learned the more I got excited about the stuff I was learning. I hail from Saskatchewan, Canada. roughly around CYXE. I went to eligible-be-registered-advanced-ultra-light It's the Canada government website. It explains what is legal to fly under the ultra light and advanced ultralight. A lot of planes that you can fly in msfs2020 are listed here as kit planes. Well I looked at the prices for these planes from different manufacturers. And the price for unbuilt kit plane was anywhere between $20,000 to 600,000 and that's without engines. I've looked at simple 2 stroke engines that cost $5,000 Canadian to high power to low weight piston engines: Boxer, 2 cylinder, 4, 6. 9 cylinder radial engines. Car engine conversions: Subaru, Volkswagen, Ford. I've looked at manufactures who forge their own engine blocks. The last IL-2 Sturmovik had a V type 12 cylinder engine producing 2000 horse power at sea level. It weighed 2000 lbs/910 kg. With a 400 hour life cycle. I played with the fw 190 today and the plane pulls to the right instead of the left. The  engine is inverted. Now I get it.

Does anyone know if a reduction gear can also change the direction the shaft turns (which spins the propeller blade). Or is that completely whether an engine is right side up or upside down.

How does one make an engine to turn the shaft right or left. Does this have something to do with piston weights?

Argh. 8 times I had to input the captcha. Fish? Or plant. Can't tell. Argh. again, again.
