American Knights, an Escadrille Lafayette Mission Pack

These missions were made with Il-2 1946, 4.10.1 #DBW-1916.

I can't verify if this will work with anything else (but I wouldn't count on it).

There is usually a lot of air activity going on during these missions.  This is a little reminder that there is more to this war than just you.  Cycle through the cameras if you want to see what else is going on.

All missions have been made as historically accurate as possible, though due to map limitations, sometimes I had to get a little creative with the geography.



Put all missions in "US" in "Singles," since there is no "French" folder.


During the mission "Thaw," you will fly the Nieuport 11 in place of William Thaw on the day he scored his first victory May 24th, 1916

During "Lufbery," you will fly the Nieuport 17 as Raoul Lubery, on the day he scored his seventh victory on January 24th, 1917.

During "Peterson," you will fly the Spad VII as David McKelvey Peterson on the day he scored his first victory on September 19th, 1917

During "Baer" you will fly the Spad XIII as Paul Frank Baer, when he scored his ninth and final victory, taking on eight Albatros D.Vs single handed on May 22nd, 1918

In "Baer," you will be flying with the US 103rd Aero Squadron, the American descendant of the Escadrille Lafayette.

There are both "Full" and "Light" versions of "Baer."  The "Full" has you fighting against all eight Albatroses.  "Light" reduces this number to four to give you a fighting chance.

All needed skins are included in this download.  Some were included in the Official DBW-1916 Skinpack, but I don't remember which ones were and which ones I got separately, so you may already have them if you downloaded the skinpack.  Also, I have had these skins for forever and don't really know where they came from.  If you recognize yours or anyone else's artwork, let me know so I can give proper credit where it is due.

All missions are airstart, and there is no home airfield.
