Query - #SAS Folder inside of VP Modpack
« on: May 02, 2023, 05:18:41 PM »

Hi Guys, first-time install of VP mod pack, all is up and running with no probs.

However, my main query is about the folders inside of the '#SAS' Folder.
The file structure looks like the type of mods that need to be placed inside of the 'jsgmemods' folder and enabled by JSGME, or are they meant to be left in the #SAS Folder and the VP mod will enable them when the game is started?

Cheers  ]thumright[

Leave everything as it is and just launch the game using the IL-2 selector choosing the SAS Modact option

The Jsgmemods folder contains additional mods that you can activate in addition of what you already have in the #SAS folder

Folders in the #SAS folder represent already activated mods. JSGME is just a system to more safely change around which mods are in the #SAS folder or not (and some other files as well).

And of course any mods you wish to add in the future should be added to the #SAS folder.
Some use JSGME to add mods but unless I'm instructed to I don't touch it.

If you want to add a mod as a permanent feature of your sim then drop it in the #SAS folder if you are not sure or if you want just a temporary change for a mission or a campaign then JSGME would be the choice
