Limited Fuel

BAT 4.2.1

Hi guys

I want to build a dogfight mission but there's one thing I haven't been able to achieve.

Scenario : Bombing mission from Uk to France with RAF Spitfires flying cover.
We usually fly with unlimited fuel but since Spitfires are not long distance fighters I thought that I would run the mission with LIMITED FUEL turned on.

Then give them 100% fuel at their home base in England. However if they get shot down over France I would supply an air start with only 50% fuel enough to get them home.

In the mission file I added the line "Fuel 50%" in the air start [Born Place]

However this didn't seem to have any effect.

Problem 1 In the arming page I was still able to pick any amount of fuel.   I expected it to be locked at 50%

Problem 2 (unrelated to mission building) In the Spitfire F Mk Vb it didn't matter how much fuel I gave the plane the gage still reads 80% full. Is this a problem with the plane?

So I guess my question is: How do I achieve this affect.

thanks for your help or suggestions gents

In the mission file I added the line "Fuel 50%" in the air start [Born Place]
  Fuel 50  (not 50%)
Example:
[i0100]
  Planes 3
  Skill 1
  Class air.JU_52_3MG4E
  Fuel 50
  weapons default

Problem 2 (unrelated to mission building) In the Spitfire F Mk Vb it didn't matter how much fuel I gave the plane the gage still reads 80% full. Is this a problem with the plane?
Spitfires seem to have suffered from a dial problem for many years.
Java code and angle problem ?

EDIT
Java code cockpit and FMD !

That would be awesome to do.

How do you edit the mission file to limit the fuel at a home base spawn point?

Is there some special program you need?

I make the dogfight missions a lot.  Anyway to edit how they work would be nice.

.....Also, would there be a way to delay a home base from popping up to spawn on?  I have tried to attach an apparition trigger to it, but it didn't do anything.

This is a concept missing from the Homebase Object
that would be an intelligent addition "Fuel Limitation".
I don't have all the iterations of IL2 , but to my knowledge
this feature has not been implemented to date.
