Hi R,
Really enjoying your uboat tex updates, thank you.

A couple of things if you don't mind.....

Be aware that usually (but not always! ;)) the side saddle tanks were painted with the top surface the same colour as the upper hull of the uboat, and below the same as the lower hull

Regarding your new projec tex, IMO the lighter one looks more realistic, some Artic Uboats painted their conning towers white or very light grey to lower the contrast with the sky.

The darker one looks like the acoustic rubber material coating, code name 'Alberich', https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_submarine_U-480

Someone has already done a version, but I'm sure you could do a very nice update?!

Cheers

Hi Shessi, I just watched a documentary about submariners yesterday, which is almost three hours long. I saw what you are talking about. Again, you probably saw that in my first skin, I used my imagination. And it has little place for realism and historicity. I mean color palette. But this is not my last update.

I will continue to work. "Grey Wolves" will still appear.

Today I am sharing pictures with you. There is still a lot of work ahead, the pack will be great. Completely redesigned. Reworked almost everything. Deck flooring (floor) Cabin (long and short). Added improved - hatches, handrails, lifebuoy and more. The topic of U-Boat Submarines has not yet been revealed. Expect news. Looking ahead a bit, the hardest part will be dealing with alpha channels. ... :-|

Hello everyone, I'm already approaching the final.

Here are the textures that I have yet to use:

and this is what i did over the weekend and tonight:

Another classic combination, inspired more by the movie, is Das Boot from 1981 (but I might work on it again. It's a classic clean version:

further, the deck is painted here, also, according to the camouflage of the boat (in two versions):

a couple more camo:

and some more:

the end, I think that the total number of skins will be about 40, expect the next news.. ;)

:-[  Forgive me Roman, but I keep seeing the pictures of your submarine work and I keep asking why the parapets don't have the necessary transparency, it's as if they were fitted with a white canvas cover, but this is not possible on submarines that go underwater, then I have the doubt that you have problems with transparencies... or am I wrong?

Hello Stan. I have no problems with alpha channels and never will. I dealt with them. Everything will be as it should be. This is BMP format and I can see everything. I feel comfortable working with him, as they say. As long as you see the pictures. Soon there will be a large package dedicated to this series of boats. Well, then .... I'll move on to another boat.
