From the included readme file:

This little mod:

- Increases the range of virtual head movement in BAT's included P-47 Mod Pack P-47s. If you use the same mod pack in 4.12 or later, this will work.

- Moves the PoV farther forward in said Mod Pack's D-10 and D-22. (I've not done any later versions.)

From my B.A.T. 4.0 game I took the CockpitP_47DModPack.class and expanded the 6dof limits in the fore-aft and up-down directions. This would seem to apply to all P-47's which are part of the same P-47 mod pack, and which presumably (?) is present in all subsequent versions of B.A.T. as well.

This will notably increase the range of virtual head movement, in turn improving the view of the outside world.

I include the Body.msh for the P-47D-10 and D-22, it having the CAMERA hook position moved farther forward, more in keeping with the real pilot's position. (A major gripe of mine is the old practice of placing this view hook ridiculously far back in too many cockpits.)

Thanks you Sir!  ]salut[

I just tried the Mod and it sure is a real improvement. The more forward seating position felt a lot better/realistic and the improved rearwards view just felt right, and not "over the top" by any means.

Now that I have reasonable chance of seeing my enemies, I will most likely fly P-47s more often. Just hearing that bell ringing without seeing them and and end up getting shot down everytime isn't all that fun. (Understatement of the year).

Now I "just" need to learn how to fly those big birds properly though..  ::)
