Z's high def US based Cessna 172s
« on: December 15, 2022, 04:37:51 PM »

Second pack of Cessna 172 skins. This pack is for US registered 172s, I am unsure whether they are based on real aircraft or are fictional (I will need to check).

3 skins, all 2048x2048

Previous skinpack: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,68733.msg749191.html#msg749191

All of these skins come from X-Plane, I did not make them, I only "converted" them to IL-2

Brings back happy memories. I was learning to fly in these in Australia. An ex-RAAF bomber pilot was teaching me so was not bothered when I once clipped a perimeter hedge as I tried to land. He quietly told me to 'put back that tree you just picked up' and when I looked down I saw foliage wrapped around the right wheel! I did not even feel it as I was concentrating on the landing approach.

Later, when I moved to England, I had a go as co-pilot at French Rallye five seaters flying from Biggin Hill.

Sadly, a blind spot in my eye prevented me proceeding with getting a pilot licence.

They are a good plane, I haven't flown one personally but have sat in the back of several.
I am sorry to hear that you were not able to get your license, that is unfair
