My knowledge is limited... practically nil concerning seaplanes!
So I give up this project!
If someone is interested, don't hesitate to start again !

What works:
- the landing gears are lowered to the ground at take-off !
- the command to lower/raise the landing gear is the "AirBrakes" button !
- the code used is that of the J2F Duck (It looks suspiciously like "Mike" code !)  :D   ;)

What does not work:
- the aircraft bounces (and flips in the water) like a capri at the start of the mission (I assume this is because of the GearL/R Clips moving).
- The plane can't get enough speed to take off.
- the plane tends to turn very hard to the right.

Here is the archive containing :
- the modified Plane folder
- the modified external FM (CDiveBrake 1)
- the Java code of the plane (TypeSailPlane for 409)

https://www.mediafire.com/file/594335fm1qvxyws/Walrus_amphibious.7z/file

However it is clear that the archive is not usable as is in the game since there is no hash file!
It's an archive for a modder not a player.

Ah, don't move those clips. IIRC in water they must be slightly below water clips. They'y can't be when they move.
Look for a position that is feasible on land and put them on a fixed element. Then only move 3d for cosmetic effects.
You'd theoretically be able to land on land without deploy the gears but it will work in the water.

Salut Epervier

Merci pour ces modifs, mais je pense que c'est uniquement pour la 4.09?

Landing gears lowered to the ground at take-off

Doesn't work with BAT4 and VP media version !  :(

The command to lower/raise the landing gear is the "AirBrakes" button !
Command doesn't work with BAT  :(

The code used is that of the J2F Duck (It looks suspiciously like "Mike" code !)  :D   ;)
How to use this java file in your archive ?

Merci d'avance pour ton aide !

As I wrote in the post, the included Java code is for 409 because it has TypeSailPlane while the Imperialists use TypeSeaPlane.
Apart from this detail the rest should work as the code comes from J2F! I suppose the Imperialists have an amphibious J2F?
However it is clear that the archive is not usable as is in the game since there is no hash file!

... many THX Stany, for these wonderful skins, exactly what is needed to pay justice to the new Walrus 3D (101tfs) + new pilots (Ranwers) ...  8)

Sorry for not quoting your post, but you only posted screens, and since quoting screens "ist verboten", and my friend Epervier is around at the moment ...  8)

Very interesting video showing the catapulting and recovery of a Walrus (from 7'55) ...  ;)
