Northrop N-3PB
« on: October 14, 2022, 11:23:17 PM »

Here's a small pack of historic skins for Zflyer's N-3PB. Skins cover markings for the Nomad during its career with 330 Squadron of the RAF, an all Norwegian unit operating in Iceland from 1941 until 1943 flying convoy patrols and ASW sweeps under difficult conditions. They conducted over 1000 sorties during that time, attacked at least 8 U boats and engaged in aerial combat with FW-200 Condors and BV-138 flying boats. 330 Squadron was the sole operator of the type.  At the end of the war two remaining aircraft from a production run of 24 returned to Norway and were briefly operational. A B&W photo from 1946 shows what was likely one of those two aircraft sporting RNAF roundels with no other visible markings and still carrying its RAF camo.  I have included a skins for that one as well and one with just RAF roundels. Skins are pretty basic all in 1024.
