Why my Stock 4.12.2 or BAT installed crashed to desktop after playing for a 15 mins yet my Stock 4.15m carries on. Both of them experience little bit lags which is acceptable yet in 4.12.2m or BAT which is based on the 4.12.2m stock the lag increases and finally it freezes and then crashes to desktop. I also use FaceTrackNoIR. I also have NotonLifeLock nstalled on my system, is it hogging my resources ?

I wouldn't think that your security software would do this. However, I'm no genius about these things . . . SO . . . :
Please post a copy of your configuration file, along with an error log (crash log) which you should also find in the root folder of the game
so that someone who reads that language can maybe help you. Use the hash tag icon on the button at the top of the "Post Reply" page for "Insert Code" so it doesn't take up entire browser page.

- Read how to get the log here, and the instant log here (Except for BAT which contains InstantLog).

- When you want to post only the relevant parts from the log
read here how to do this. (code option!)

- If you want to post all lines of the logfile we suggest to use https://pastebin.com/
to paste your log and then paste the link here which you got from them.
Read and see here how to do this.

Note: It is preferable to provide the LOG in its entirety!

Extracted the InstantLog_1.00 in the game directory. Still the log.lst and eventlog.lst are truncated.nothing much to share.

Why not deactivate that Norton?
If that is possible, last time I used their crap,
Their Game mode was crashing my BAT,
as it it did frequent scanning in background and
ate up precious ressources.
Only solution for me have cleaner background processes,
Completely wipe this crap off.

Unless I am mistaken, it seems that the BAT pack has the InstantLog Mod already installed!
That's one less thing to do. Just read the LOG!

I have installed BAT 4.2.1 with hotfix and had added all the skin repositories and 4 single missions pack. If I select Stock Game on IL2 Selector it still crashes after playing around 10 minutes or so. Initially the game tends to freeze for .25 seconds every 3 -4 minutes or so and just before crashing this freezing becomes more frequent and the game finally freezes. Below are the logs ..

Do I have this right?
You have the BAT pack but you select in the Selector : Stock Game ?
In this case, unless a BAT specialist advises you otherwise, don't be surprised if things go wrong!

For BAT you have 4 possibilities:
- B.A.T. Dawn of Flight 1906-1926
- B.A.T. The Golden Age 1926-1936
- B.A.T. World at War 1936-1946
- B.A.T. The Jet Age 1966-...

It does CTD on Steam also.....I have 4.12.2 on steam....I just copied and moved the game folder in another directory of my HDD to mod it to BAT...I have also tested with stock 4.12.2 game folder before modding it to BAT... .....using the BAT so that I can get instalog.

Why shoudn't I be able select Stock Game in IL2 Selector 4.0 amd play it...after all they do list the version of the game  As it is there I should be able to use it....simple logic.

Your problem is not BAT.
