Ugh,
Flew my first career campaign yesterday, don't know why, just was always into making my own missions.
I hated it.
______________
My perspective:
I've been making extensive missions both in single P and multi P as a single player for a while, I like the make them accurate and large scale. I put a lot of thought into the flight times speeds, the little details, and I max out objects.
So... I tried the standard campaign that is in the menu under the USN for a fighter, flying the FM-2.
It was way over simplified, and is very limited in scale, and time.
For instance the first flight was only about a 10min flight time, no time to form up, and somehow my wing men all had the "Super FM-2's" and there was no way I could stay caught up with them, even a little, without burning out my engine by the time I reached the target. Not to mention the week 100lbs bomb that doesn't do anything, while Hellcats are escorting... that can carry 500lbs.
I'm not sure why the flights weren't set to a minimum cruise speed.
I liked the randomness of the campaign missions, but this one became none-random with how many times I had to replay just the first mission.
The whole missions just seemed stacked on top of one point with the carrier like 5-10mins away, not spread out with any scale.
My initial reaction is to remake the whole campaign, but I never made one.

Please tell me if there is a large scale, high detail, historical, and creative BAT based Navy campaign.
