The surest way know is to try both.

Next best is to read the features list for each and compare.

Only you know what are your preferences. Especially as you've not stated them.  ;)

I have both versions. Vp-Modpack is an accomplishment in it self, being a "one man's show"; B.A.T offers a far greater choice of war theatres and variety of mods, and in my opinion is the most elaborate and user-friendly mega-pack one can hope for...

I would add that BAT is still actively supported and receives regular updates/improvements. VP Modpack is static and has been for years now. That being said though both are very good mod collections.
